Spinal decompression is the lengthening or traction of the spine either manually or using a decompression table. The goal is to create space in the spine between the vertebrae to allow blood flow and nerve signaling to be uninterrupted. Decompression will provide relief if a disc is bulging or a nerve is pinched. When stretch is applied to the head and neck, the body acts as a counter weight, this tension will lengthen and create space in the spine, relieving pressure and tension.
- Bulging discs
- Herniated discs
- Pinched nerves
- Spinal Stenosis

Decompression of the neck is similar to decompression of the low back. It can be done either manually, with the aid of traction devices or with a traction table. A gentle force will be used to lengthen the neck, and the patient's body will act as a counter force. This creates space in between the vertebrae and helps various bone and muscle issues.
- Reduction of muscle spasms
- Reduction of pain and pressure
- Restoration of blood flow and nerve signals
- Increased neck stability
- Provide relief to an injury
- Degenerative disc disease (DDD)
- Stenosis
- Arthritis
- Scoliosis
- Pinched nerves
- Bulging or herniated discs
